Cyclone Gonu struck northern Oman on 5th June 2007 with devastating impact. His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos, the Government and people of Oman chose to work together to repair much of the damage, without any overseas help, Tourism facilities have generally been restored and visitors are still most welcome to Oman.

The Chedi Hotel, Muscat, was the hotel most badly affected by Cyclone Gonu on 5th June 2007. Much of the hotel was flooded but will re-open on 1st September 2007. The Chedi is very popular with our guests and we are pleased to be taking bookings from that date onwards.

The festival of Eid occurs at the end of Ramadan, which in 2007 is around 13th October. We are offering a unique opportunity to celebrate Eid as guests of an Omani family! To plan your holiday around Eid please contact us as soon as possible.

The Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Muscat, is in the final stages of a £ multi-million refurbishment programme. We are taking bookings for early 2008 but the official opening date is yet to be confirmed. The Al Bustan is a popular choice with our guests. Watch this space for further details!

Oman Air is launching daily non-stop flights from London Gatwick to Muscat on November 15th to complement its internal network which serves Salalah & Khasab. The national carrier will use fuel-efficient Airbus A330-300 & A310-300 aircraft on this route. Flights leave LGW at 22.30, arriving in Muscat 09.45 next day.

Christmas & New Year bookings to this popular destination have grown again this year, with a shortage of hotel rooms over the holiday period. However, we have limited availability of rooms to suit most budgets. These are available on a 'first come – first served' basis, with minimum stays in some hotels.
